Bioscape Coral Sand is an ideal natural substrate for a saltwater marine tank or cichlid tank. The coral sand helps in raising and stabilising a higher pH

  • Ideal substrate for marine and reef aquariums
  • Good for fish that like to sift sand (e.g. gobies)
  • Suitable base for live rock setups
  • Can be used in refugiums or marine breeding tanks

Benefits:

  • Helps buffer pH and maintain stable alkalinity
  • Promotes healthy bacterial growth (biological filtration)
  • Fine grain looks natural and brightens the tank
  • Gentle on bottom-dwelling fish and invertebrates
  • Resists compacting, allowing better water flow through the substrate

  • Substrate for African cichlid tanks (e.g. Malawi cichlids, Tanganyika cichlids)
  • Raising and stabilising pH in hard-water aquariums
  • Mixing with other substrates to increase hardness
  • Decorative bright substrate for alkaline setups

Benefits:

  • Increases pH and water hardness (adds calcium carbonate)
  • Helps maintain stable water chemistry in alkaline tanks
  • Fine grain is suitable for digging and sifting fish
  • Supports beneficial bacteria growth
  • Long-lasting and doesn’t break down easily

Note: Not suitable for soft-water species (like tetras or discus) as it can make the water too alkaline.
